My name is Jesus Tueme, but you can call me JT. Reading has been my cornerstone since childhood, with countless memories of exploring book fairs and delving into stories with my parents, from fantasy books like Harry Potter to whodunits from Agatha Christie, and much more. This passion not only entertained me but became my bridge to success.
When I moved to the United States from Mexico at 14, with minimal English, books were my refuge and my most important tool. Starting with familiar and simple tales in English, I expanded my reading to more challenging books, which directly improved my academic performance. My efforts then led me to attend and graduate from Duke University with a degree in Economics and Markets and Management.
Now, as a new parent, I am more aware than ever of the pivotal role reading plays in shaping lives. However, I’ve observed a concerning trend: the decline of reading interest among children, overshadowed by the allure of digital screens and passive entertainment, which is impacting their academic and personal growth.
This observation led me to start working on AniMo Books, an innovative app designed to rekindle the love for reading among children. By transforming static book images into captivating animations, AniMo Books makes reading an immersive and engaging experience for children, encouraging them to discover the joy of stories. AniMo Books is not just another app; it's a revolutionary approach designed to transform the way children engage with reading and with digital devices. It’s a gateway to success, fostering the same love for reading that has been so crucial in my life.
In a world where reading is becoming a lost art, AniMo Books stands as a beacon, proving that the key to success, now more than ever, lies in the pages of a good book!
